Speechmakin’

There’s another thing that I have to write or I’ll be restless in my sleep.

Yesterday, I wanted to give him the speech I’d prepared. Simple je I buat. But I couldn’t find him so I went to the computer lab to have it printed out. Sambil-sambil menyelam, minumlah air. Kat computer lab kan, check la email skali.

Well, this mamat figured out I’d be there since I’ve been frequenting it a lot. Although his assumption was true, I don’t like to be predictable. I just don’t like it. That’s why I like to do things that other people won’t expect or just out of the norm. But only in certain conditions.

Hmm, I gave him a message telling him to alter it where he sees fit. I wanted to see when he’d reply. I knew he’d reply at night around 3 a.m coz that’s when he sleeps and has time for himself. He’d told me bout it before.

Hah…I was right. The reply came in the morning. I quote it,
“tq very much for ur help. Know y I wanted u 2 help me on dis? I admire ur English since d 1st day I know u. ur words for me ‘touching’. Izmil maybe better in makin speeches tp ur words alwis giv meanin yg sama dgn apa yg sy nak smpikn. Xde org leh buat cam awk. Tq a lot. Sori ggu. Sweet dream ;)”

Huh…sweet words. If this incident happened last year, I’d have gone weak in the knees. Alas, I know better now. It means nothing to me. Just a simple thank u for my effort.

Do I sound ruthless? Nah, just not so naïve anymore.

Anyway, I missed the speeches event coz I arrived late. Dunno how it went.
