a friend of mine suddenly collapsed in the middle of a lecture this morning. dahlah she sits in the front row, right in front of the lecturer. it's still early in the morning, but maybe she slept late and hadn't time for breakfast this morning.
this is the second time it has happened. the first time, it was another girl, in the lab, during the microbio practical briefing. she was fasting that day, so maybe it was due to hypoglycemia. the first incident was followed by tips on how to manage an unconciuous patient while the second on how important breakfast was.
moral of the story? don't forget to take yer breakfast and if u think ur gonna pengsan, take preventive measures like rest or sit down or lie down for a while. if not, u'll definitely suffer from post-syncope embarrassment.take it from someone who's been there. believe me, i know how it feels to nearly faint but alhamdulillah i've never reached the faint stage.
wouldn't it be a sight to see doctors fainting in the hospital. i'd certainly not go there meself...hehe
