my room is so not conducive for studying right now. it's way hot in the daytime and also the night. i have to run to the library for a colder surrounding.
my revising days are nearing its end... still much to study...

what i wanna write
i wanna write about my embarrassing weekend which occured a fortnight ago and also about the recent interesting one but i know if i start, it'll take me ages and in the end it might take up much of my time which is supposed to be spent on revising.
anyways, just a bit.
i participated in TOT MKRR or Training for Trainers of ModuL Kesihatan Reproduksi Remaja organised by Wanita JIM. it was interetsting and all,but the most interesting part was spending the night at Dr Melur's friend's house in Gombak which was way better than the room above the masjid. well, this makcik used to live in UK and has three daughters, safiyah, anisah and maryam, all with their british-accent. bes gile converse with them.
that night, makcik belanja me, asma and dr melur steamboat at johnny's in jusco. twas my first time. then i bought tidbits for nibah who was suffering from her taaruf week. maryam said asma and i looked like twins. it's the specs. asma' couldn't miss the chance to ask which of us was prettier. the poor kid didn't answer. she must have wanted to spare asma's feelings :P
the rest of the night i spent gossipping with Kiki, makcik shereen's sister, who was truly like the jessica of the sweet valley twins. her med-student twin's all baik and stuff while she's the zany one heh.
oh yeah, and they had three cats; a siamese cat named Pratunam which thinks its a dog, and two other cats named winter and minchi. i was kinda frightened of pratunam but it later warmed up to me, pehal tah tetibe kucing nih.
on sunday was Dr Har's part which needless to say was absolutely enlightening and interesting. my conclusion from the program, we have to enlighten the youth on these matters and guide them on what islam says lest they go to other unreliable sources.

Aching all over
the results of last wednesday's second minitest are out. alhamdulillah i got ok. but is ok enuf when others excel? well, it has to be, for now.
i woke up this morning with generalized myalgia (muscle pain) especially in the posterior region of my left leg (gastrocnemius muscle hypertrophy kot). possibly due to the strenuous aeroboxing (aerobic + boxing) that we did yesterday morning after qiyam at doctor's house which was intended as our riadhah.
qiyam in luxury and comfort. airconditioned rooms with 6 toilets and two massive fridges stacked with food. what could be more comfortable. heh, we displaced the pakcik from his own house. he had to spend the night sumwer else.
anyways, today i had to manage my chores and revision with sore upper and lower extremities.
it's revision week now. my finals will be on the 3rd to 5th may (please pray for me).
it's already the end of this forth block. i feel like it was just yesterday we started, now comes the finals. can't afford to fail this one. this block has a clean record of 100% passes since the first batch. i don't wanna be famous for the wrong reasons now, do i.

Change
The only permanent thing in life is change.
Seasons change. Situations change. Enviroments change. People change. Friends change. Heck, I've changed, a lot.
I read an entry in my friend's blog. She wrote of being misjudged. May be she's right. i don't really know what to make of it.
I guess i'd found out in my teen years how unreliable friends can be. But i did find some true ones. Alhamdulillah i had my family to fall back on. They're the most precious people in the world.

Refreshed
I arrived at the terminal yesterday by 7pm. Refreshed, after a worthwhile trip home. My actual intention was to go to Hari Ihtifal. I coulnd’t miss it for the world but mak couldn’t understand why especially since I have a minitest this Wednesday. I had side reasons of course but the ihtifal was of course my main agenda. Hmm, mak was bored halfway through and we had to leave early. A bit too early if I may say so meself. Anyways, the alumni did a fantastic job on the montage, anecdotes and everything else. Thumbs up to them.
i finished reading both series in the bus. it was interesting to read peoples opinion on SMIH. to show the loyalty of munibah and i, we both acquired both copies each :P

Books by Diana Wynne Jones
The first book wriiten by Jones that i read was "Howl's Moving Castle". Kak chik borrowed it from her friend. She and Hammad recommended it to me that i found the time to read it during my one-week long 3rd block break. boleh la. i found it interesting.
The book was adapted into an animated movie by a Japanese company. thus we had to watch it with translations. As always, the movie has a different version from the book but i liked it anyway.
A couple of weeks ago, there was a small bookfair in the midst of Kuantan Parade. As i was browsing through the second hand books i found the sequel to HMC, "Castle in the Air" and seized it immedietly. Azza found another book written by Jones called "The Lives of Christopher Chant". We had a slight tug-of-war since both of us wanted to buy both books for our siblings. We ended up buying the copies we found.
I managed to read "Castle in the Air" before the seminar just to divert myself from the dreaded avian flu thoughts. The story setting was very different from the first that i was starting to doubt of it being a sequel. nearing the end, both worlds converged and i met again the familiar characters of Howl, Sophia, Calcifer and the sisters.
With the seminar over, i had time to start on the 1st book of the Chrestomanci series, the one Azza bought. Jones maintained her style of writing but it was interesting nonetheless. interesting enough for me to want to buy the whole series for Hammad and Chik. I'll have to dig up my scholar for that one. But i guess it'll be worth it.

over and done with
Alhamdulillah… it’s finally over. No more thinking about my seminar. We managed to pull it off quite well despite the few glitches along the way. Zaid Kadir helped us make the flash presentation for the intro in two days. Searching high and low for the Chicken Run CD was worthwhile. Many of the things we planned to do when we started, we weren’t able to do, but it was ok anyway.
I was my usual fumbling self, and using my facial muscles to the maximum. When I asked my friend how I was, her only comment was “Awla will always be Awla”. hehe… typical me huh. My wardrobe was provided by Asma’, I even borrowed her platform shoes :P
These past few days, I’d been watching All About Eve with my seniors. They borrowed my CD set and I just had to watch along with them. All 20 CDs. 1 night 5 CDs straight.
Now I have no excuse to complete all my postponed chores. Better start on ‘em now.
