Healer’s’ Sonnet

This is the grand finale to a seminar we had in our 3rd block...
A poem entitled : Healer’s’ Sonnet

I may not be the world’s greatest poet,
Nor the world’s greatest writer,
But together we serve other’s life
Together…
We surpass all.

We are so much more than we know,
We are explorers,
knowing that once we have gone as far as we can see,
We will still see farther.
We are singers,
spreading the melody of empathy.
We are lawyers,
making a case for life.
We are authors,
helping others add more pages to their book of memories.
We are comedians,
dispensing the medicine of laughter.
We are magicians,
that inspire patients and family.
We are living proof that humanity is created in this world.

Dear God,
To the one that is lonely,
May I be a friend…
To those with heavy burden,
Help me to meet their needs…
To those in the darkness,
May I be the light…
To those in fear,
May I be their shelter…

And now,
We can proudly confess,
That at least one life can breath easier.

Because…
By the will of Allah…
We have lived
