It is now 8.50 pm and I am on the bus heading for Kuantan. Back to reality after a short escape from classes. I get to reunite with my computer. For five days, it has been at the mercy of my fellow colleagues of this camp.
There’s much to tell about this camp and I have loads of stories but I’m somewhat tired now and might miss some important points. Just a brief intro, this program was actually organized by FIMA (federation of international medical assodiations) and WAMY (world assembly of muslim youth) and IMAM.
Well some of the highlights are;
Ø There was much emphasis on muamalat and the committees had to adhere to the strictest of rules; we couldn’t talk to the brothers or at least be seen talking to them, if it was absolutely necessary we had to discuss anything in a room with closed doors.
Ø The rector of IIUM was just a dear. Owh he’s absolutely wonderful person
Ø Bumped into lots of me friends at Gombak
Ø We could see Arabs culture up close
Ø My handphone jatuh jamban, when it was salvaged, all that was left functioning was the sim card
Ø I have gained many new friends, international as well as local; a Singaporean, a Cambodian and 4 thais besides the local ones from imu, ukm, upm, usm umpcm.
Ø I learned a bit of kelantan from a thai…how ironic is that
Ø I got to work with or at least see Dr Latif, Dr Musa, Dr Munawar and many distinguished international medical practitioners
Ø We got loads of souvenirs from FIMA, WAMY, IMAM and IIUM.
Ø We got to stay in the suite at Anjung Rahamt and the chalets at Sri Dinar in Janda Baik were absolutely wonderful
Ø My body is achning all over
Okay, I wanna stop now.
More details later..
