em..here's something kakyung wrote about me..
mostly exagerations but endearing nonetheless.
Awla
Ooooooo…. My favourite girl to talk about
the ‘genius’ one in the family she is
who’s with an absolutely brilliant mind
aint it true sista…
awla, kak yang, yang, lola, laa…
lookie all these wonderful names that I have for you
what can I say about this sis o’ mine
another one of my best friends
I use to tell her everything that ever happened to me
actually, I still do, but maybe your not the first one
to know anymore…*wink… coz now there’s yeop… hehe..
but then again, I still tell you things
even though, I am now married, I don’t want it to
ever change the relationship that we both have together
and I don’t think I will ever stop bugging you La…
everyone knows that you’re a smarty pants...
but being bright and intelligent does have it’s defects too.. right
sometimes you do let it get to your head…
example of a typical converse with awla:
“kak yung, what’s the meaning of ……….. ?”
“eerrrmm… entahlah…”
“wait a minute, if I don’t know then you lagilah tak tahu”
as you can plainly see, awla can be like that sometimes…
but it only comes once in a purple moon…
but behind all that brainpower, there is still
a soft and sensitive side to awla…
jangan memain, minah ni kalau tengah sensitip…. Ouch…
even nyamuk won’t dare take a bite…
nevertheless, it never stops people from thinking she’s cool
Why is it awla?
That wherever you go, be it school or university
or programs or whatever, people always seem to want to
elect you to be something… wherever you go you must have
some kinda post or position or in some sorto organization…
What is it about you? Huh Laa?
What do these people see in you, when all I see is
my little toady bratty sister… hehe…
nahh.. they probably see what I really see.. someone who
.::. is unique and special
.::. can be a responsible person in charge
.::. is charismatic and charming
.::. can be strict and arrays confidence
.::. can be appealing, fascinating and fun to work with
.::. can be serious when it comes to it, to get the job done
.::. is very much disciplined in seeing things through to the end
.::. willing to work hard in the name of da’wah
.::. is with a strong stand in her principles and ethics
.::. has a strong sense of character and personality
.::. is a born leader!!!!!!!!!
another example of a typical converse with awla:
-After just a week of being in UIA Kuantan-
Aw : “kak yung, guess what… they’ve just nominated me to be
the Head Girl of my year”
KY : “WHAT?? Awla, I thought you just got there.. bukan ker
you baru jer sampai sana.. it’s been what.. only 3 days
or something…and you got yourself elected for something..
..shiisshh… awla, you know ayah’s gonna throw fits..”
Aw : “tulah… jangan bagi tahu ayah tau…”
KY : “eee.. what did you do… are these people blind… I tell you..
takde orang lain ker nak jadik head…
You know ayah wants you to concentrate on your studies..”
Aw : “tulah..tulah.. I know kak yung, I thought nak masuk sini
nak low profile, but there’s this girl plak pepandai jer
calonkan nama I, what to do??”
well, there you have it, another normal, everyday conversation with awla
you just always seem to surprise me with all your activities
I know that with you, selagi it’s in the name of da’wah
and for the good Islam and all of mankind, then you’ll be in it
I know if it were me, I’d have a tough time juggling it all
you give new meaning to the word “achieveable”
because with you awla, anything’s possible
but then again your in university…
uni life is just bustling and tussling
but just bear in mind that you are human
and humans do make mistakes,
coz then, you’ll have mistakes to learn from…
Nobody’s perfect, it’s your imperfections that makes you, YOU!
Now be a good girl in uni and be the incredible muslimah doctor
that I know you can be when you graduate!
Thanks Laa,
for being there for me
for having sisterly fights with me
for being the little twit that you sometimes are
for listening to me talk and not letting you butt in
for helping me get through all the bad times
for understanding my predicaments when it counts
for sometimes being the middle-man for me with mak n ayah
for telling me off when you have to…
for being my reminder of my Islamic obligations
for being my sister, my lola
