what a relief.. looking at the schedule, i'd thought we were in for a full marathon of 8am to 4pm classes but that's only on paper.. we've actually got loads of free time since the journal studies are actually time allotted for self study while Dr Jamal's tutorials can be done in our rooms.. which means we can sleep la kan..heh
the whole day yesterday we had classes with Dr Jamal on computer software for statistical purposes and we had to learn how to use SPSS and EXCEL. nasib buat kat comp lab.. tak lah bosan sangat.
this morning we had another 2 hours with him on intro to clinical epidemiology.. then Dr Yi Yi's lecture on the pectoral region and the mammary glands followed by Prof Omar's intro to general epidemiology..
listening to his lecture has made me interested in this field.. epidemiologists are like detectives, they have to solve the mysteries of outbreaks and diseases.. they come out with the health and disease statitics... the downside is the low salary and it requires one to be good in math, statistics and computering skills which i lack.. i think i'll have to ponder about it a bit more.. let's see how i fare through this block before i decide.
"There are three kinds of lies; lies, damn lies and STATISTICS"
