just came back from oncall. thought a detour to the CC would be nice.
last saturday ade program "jom selamatkan palestin". there was a talk by Aqib on the history of Palestine and why their fight is an ummatic issue, not restricted to the Palestinians only. after the talk we had a discussion on what we could do collectively to increase the awareness of others toward Al-Quds. alhamdulillah, the programme was attended by those from different 'groups'. when the issue is ISLAM, then we must UNITE.
saturday night was SISTERS' NITE. it started off with lagha2 things. i don't mind a few songs but Pussy cat dolls??? pe cite? however after two performances, came the persembahan by 2nd year meddies. they were able to portray the situation of the malaise muslim ummah and our distractions, ignorance and uncaring attitude towards our brothers and sisters in Palestine. the ever busy fifth years pun sempat buat lakonan with the same theme. i really think it was a golden oppurtunity to raise awareness amongst the UIA girls yang tapenah turun surau or attend talks or even programs. at least to remind ppl of Al-Quds day this 21st of August instead of remembering it for the much-hyped wedding of the year.
hmm, tadi at the hospital, i clerked one Orang Asli lady who was admitted for chemotherapy for right colon cancer. she believe's in christianity. she said that was a much easier religion sicne she is uneducated. i kept thinking of how i could da'wah to her? i could only be thankful that at least she believes in God. most orang aslis don't.
it's wonderful talking to patients. i learn a lot from them.
