it's been quite some time since i last updated. had my 2nd minitest last friday. couldn't update before that. afterwards, i think there was a conspiracy of computers that don't want me to update. the computer lab was always full and when i did get my hands on a computer the server was down. the computer at home, much to mak and ayah's relief (at least for my case), has crashed because of a certain brother of mine who ngade2 update ape tah.
the 2nd minitest signifies the beginning of the revision week. since our exams are scheduled two days after raya haji, on the 12th -14th of january, we have surplus days for revising. then again, there's never enough time for revision. i'm always never ready.
i just went back home last weekend on saturday. had to finish some things on my to-do-list first. i'd planned on staying home a little longer but mak and ayah were against it. i'd even brought back a whole bag full of notes and books. but, i should know myself better. can't really study at home. too many distractions. my mentality is all rest, entertainement and sleep once i'm at home. instead of reading on the endocrine, reproductive and urinary system, i watched 'Kronk's New Groove' (sequel to Emperor's New Groove) and 'Hero' (starring Jet Li) and a bit of 'Homeward Bound: the incredible journey'.
the last time i watched Homeward Bound, i had PMS and cried during the scene where the big brother was waiting for his dog to come but it didn't show up, until later that is. i thought i couldn't stand the emotional part because of PMS. this time around, i cried again at that part even though i know the plot already. huh, that just shows that i'm actually a cry baby. absolutely embarassing.
another embarassing incident that kinda stunned and shocked me to bits happened on monday night. all because of the darn short text-messaging system aka sms that i nearly missed the bus back to kuantan. i thought that i'd asked a friend to buy the bus ticket for me but apparently we weren't on the same wave length. i didn't even consider confirming with her. i did the thing the most stupidest thing; I ASSUMED!
this is how the SMS went;
miss xx: awla balik johor eh? esok saya nak beli tiket. nak balik sekali tak?
(later in the night) me: nak la balik skali.
i thought that by saying that she'd buy one for me to. imagine my shock when just 15 minutes before the bus was scheduled to leave she arrived and seemed surprised i was there.
miss xx: awla balik naik bus sama eh?
me: (WHAT?) u didn't buy for me?
miss xx: did u ask me to?
me: (flabbergasted)
i was shocked for words. imagine the disappointment of my parents. how could i have done such a thing?
in a dazed state, i went to the transnational counter and asked if there was any more tickets. surprisingly, there was two unsold tickets. whew, that was such a close call. i nearly missed the bus by a few minutes. usually, the tickest are already sold out on the same night. i couldn't believe my rizq (luck has nothing to do with it).
because i'd bought one of the last tickets, i had to sit right in front. i was still rather bedazzled. when i considered back what just happened, i couldn't help myself from shedding some precious lacrimal secretions (tears). throughout the 5 hour bus ride, i could barely sleep. besides my shock, i had lower abdominal discomfort that was unrelieved by micturation. i guess some of my pelvic viscera had unresolved issues.
moral of the story: NEVER ASSUME! (brape kali ntah nak kene blaja this one)

Hammad just entered high school yesterday. auw, he's all big now, not just physically :P
Wish i could see him in his uniform. still remember his first day of primary school.

the minitest results came out today. i passed alhamdulillah.
