I'm at kak yung's. It's been ages since i last came. lepas rindu kat bilik aircond nih.. KY picked me up around 12.30 am at UIA Gombak. Sha, Maryam and Muja kept me company while i waited for KY. I got to meet many old friends like Mashitah, Iman Amir, Kak Kauthar, Kak Rahimah, Kak Timah and more. KY's really bengang (not the johorian meaning of malu, the other one) with my stupod hp. It kept going dead on her. I tried to coerce my phone to function but it's in one of its fits and won't respond to my pleas. May Allah replace it wiith a better one Ameen.
Owh, i absolutely adore and admire the RECTOR, PROF KAMAL HASSAN. Even at a ripe age,he is still ever so charming, charismatic and HANDSOME. I love the way he speaks and his pleasant manners. He delivers touching and admirable speeches. I was listening attentively and gave him my full concentration..hehe.. even to the extent of jotting down the interesting points and this was during a dinner event..but the food wasn't served yet at that time..
it was actually a majlis khatam Quran dinner to celebrate the success of one IRK student who had completed the memorization of all 30 juz part time besides his major degree. there were about 12 others who had memorized half. i was there just becoz i'd join the programme in kuantan.. still new at it.. haven't progressed much.
Anyways, two words the Rector mentioned caught my attention; deconstructionism and post-modernism. these were the intellectual attacks launched by, not orientalists but muslims themselves. the wirawans and wirawatis of the quran must be able to face these internal challenges.. i terus bersemangat nak menghafal... nak jumpa rector lagi :P
he was so nice.. we took a picture with him afterwards.. sigh
